A young couple with the quiet wish to make their home truly theirs. “When they got in touch,” the designer recalls, “the house had just been finished by other professionals, but it lacked the distinctive character that would make the space feel unique.” The visitor was greeted by a fully open layout, with the kitchen immediately in full view from the entrance. The first step in the redesign process was to rethink this threshold. A bespoke cabinet was designed to offer two possibilities: the kitchen could be gently concealed to create a more composed transition from the entryway, or it could be opened up to transform the space into a convivial setting with a dedicated snack counter for shared moments when hosting friends. A soft, sugar-paper blue envelops the walls, completing the transformation and making the home feel intimate and inviting.
